This small learning group is designed to help students understand Algebraic reasoning. It is more cost effective than individual tutoring and is intended for students who are currently enrolled in Algebra 1. Students will receive homework help but more importantly, the instruction will serve to accelerate their mathematics studies.

• Overview of Algebra Foundations: variables, expressions, order of operations, distributive property, etc.
• Using expressions in equivalent forms to solve problems
• Function Basics
• Function notation
• Interpreting and Building Functions in context
• Quantities: Units & Rate Conversions
• The Real Number System
• Integers, rational & irrational numbers, 
• Linear Equations & Inequalities: Solving & Graphing 
• Systems of Linear Equations & Inequalities: Solving & Graphing
• Exponents, Radicals, & Exponential Functions
• Factoring & Polynomials
• Quadratics: Solving & Graphing

Instructor may also choose to include discussions of:

• Arithmetic & Geometric Sequences
